Shipping & Delivery

Effective Date: March 1, 2026

Overview

We are a small native plant grower dedicated to cultivating healthy, resilient plants with care. We intentionally keep our batches small so we can give each plant the attention it deserves — and so our customers receive plants that are truly ready to thrive.

Because of this, we don’t rush our shipping. We only send plants when they are properly established and ready for transplant and we take extra care in how they are packaged for their journey. Our goal is not just to deliver plants, but to support your success in growing them.

We’re grateful for the trust you place in us, and we genuinely want every plant you receive to flourish in your garden. After all, we share a common goal: to create landscapes that feed wildlife, support pollinators, and help restore balance to the land.

If you have any questions about our shipping policy, the timing of your order or the condition of a plant when it arrives, please reach out at info@wildpatchnatives.com.

Please review the policy below before making a purchase.

Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days after purchase. During peak seasons (spring and fall), processing times may be extended due to high demand and weather-related considerations. Customers will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once their order has shipped.

Shipping Schedule

To ensure plant health, we ship orders on Monday and Tuesday only. This helps prevent plants from being held in transit over weekends. Orders placed later in the week may ship the following week (if the plants are established).

Plants ordered January through June 30 will begin shipping starting May 15, once they are established and ready for transplant. Orders placed July 1 through September 30 will begin shipping starting September 1. All plant orders ship as soon as they are ready and weather conditions are appropriate.

Seeds ship year-round for a flat shipping rate of $5. We can’t separate seed and plant orders, so please place a separate order for seeds to have them shipped right away. Plant Health Guarantee

Shipping Methods & Carriers

We ship via major carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on destination and plant size. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and delivery location.

We also offer local pick-up within the South Shore of Massachusetts by appointment. Once your plants are ready for pickup, we will contact you via email to schedule a convenient appointment time.

Live Plant Shipping Considerations

Our plants are living organisms and may vary in size and appearance depending on the season. Plants may be shipped dormant during certain times of year. We take care to package plants securely to minimize stress and damage during transit. Packing material can mat down the plants during shipping but they will recover quickly. We also give our plants a healthy drink of water right before they ship. But once, received be sure to remove them from their package and water them right away.

Weather & Seasonal Delays

Shipping may be delayed during periods of extreme heat or cold to protect plant health. We monitor weather conditions along shipping routes and may hold orders until safe to ship.

Shipping Zones & Restrictions

Due to agricultural regulations, we are unable to ship to the following states: Alaska (AK), California (CA), Hawaii (HI), Idaho (ID), Oregon (OR), and Utah (UT). Customers are responsible for understanding their local plant import restrictions. Orders that cannot be shipped will be canceled and refunded.

Delivery Responsibility

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, it is the customer’s responsibility to promptly retrieve and care for the plants. We are not responsible for damage caused by delays in opening or improper post-delivery care.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and plants. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include replacement or store credit at our discretion.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of live plants, we do not accept returns. Refunds or replacements are offered only in cases of verified damage or shipping error.
